After the superb effort at collecting used batteries for recycling last year the School was awarded science workshops with Anyone 4 Science. On Tuesday 18th December Angela from Anyone 4 Science arrived in St Mary’s ready to work with our eager scientists in the Junior and Senior Rooms.
The Senior Room made their own batteries with Angela while the Junior Room explored acids and bases. Using red cabbage water indicator Senior Infants, First and Second Class enjoyed creating some artwork using tissue paper soaked in vinegar. Afterwards the Junior Room tested some household products to see if they were an acid or a base.
